Valkyria Wings

Traditionally, in Asgard, the world above, Valkyries are born with 3 pairs of wings, which grow and mature as they do. However, one day they came across a baby who possessed 4 pairs of wings. Ritz, the ruler of Asgard, named the child 'Athena'.

The parents of Athena were never identified, but in some cases, it was just as well. They soon realised Athena's major problem... her ridiculously low IQ of 1370. As such, she is a total ditz, an airhead, a klutz and a scatterbrain. All rolled into one.

Seen as somewhat of a disgrace to the Race of Valkyries, Athena was treated coldly and thought of asa failure. Ritz, decided to take her under his wing and try and train her in the ways of Valkyrie. Until the fateful day...

Cupid, god of Love, was struck down by Mars, the god of Hate. Valentine's day seemed doomed, but Ritz had an idea. He ordered Athena to take Cupid's place as the bearer of Love and good tidings. Athena, seeing this as a golden oppotunity to finally understand what it meant to Feel True Happiness, took this chance and delved straight into the job.

Unfortunately, her idiotic nature doesn't produce the best results. But she was told that if she can bring happiness to a set amount of humans, she would grow her own proper set of Tsubasa and be able to live once again as a Valkyrie. Keeping her wings hidden from people is one of the harder tasks, and that's just the beginning...

Anyways, I'm not sure as to how I came up with this idea, but I felt that I wanted to try drawing something I hadn't done before. Going through the dictionary and looking at words starting with 'V', I looked thoroughly. Then the term 'Valkyrie' popped up. Which is another term for Celestial Warrior.

The big weapon that Athena is holding is the ' Pravda Ring ', a morphing pole with a mixture of Platinum, Ceasium and Unununium. It's this instrument that allows Athena to bestow the powers of Cupid. But she has no idea how to use it... >.<
